In the course of its business operations, Great Minds processes the personal data necessary to provide its services, such as name, contact details, career information, salary details, references, etc. Pursuant to Art. 6 revDSG, the data is lawfully collected, respecting the principle of proportionality, and handled in a trustworthy and considerate manner, and utilized appropriately.
Data is made accessible either by candidates themselves in direct interaction with Great Minds or through their provision of data to third parties or on publicly accessible third-party platforms and registers. Great Minds is not obligated to disclose personal data unless the data subject is in a contractual relationship with Great Minds that warrants such obligation.
Personal data is processed to facilitate recruitment activities, including applicant evaluation, position assignments, and communication with candidates and partner companies. Additionally, data may be used for service development, communication, marketing, and IT security purposes. Visiting our website does not require registration, and technical data is collected solely for statistical purposes.
Where necessary for consultancy and brokerage activities, personal data, including application dossiers and reports from third parties, are disclosed to potential employers with the data subject’s prior consent. Great Minds may engage processors for its services, ensuring compliance with data protection laws. Recipients of data may be located worldwide, and in certain cases, data may be disclosed to authorities abroad. Great Minds utilizes the “Recruit CRM” system provided by Workforce Cloud Tech Europe Limited, located in Ireland, for processing personal data. Data collected in “Recruit CRM” is stored in the United States, the EEA, and potentially other countries by third parties engaged by Recruit CRM. By using Great Minds’ services, applicants consent to the processing and transfer of their information within Europe, to the United States, and to other countries with differing data protection laws.
Great Minds processes and retains personal data in compliance with statutory retention periods and legitimate interests, deleting or anonymizing data after the storage or processing period ends. Security measures are regularly implemented to protect personal data, in line with Art. 8 revDSG.
The Great Minds website uses cookies to enhance content, including essential functionalities and settings preservation, with automatic deletion after each visit. Cookies also enable anonymized data analysis of website usage. Users can manage cookie storage preferences in their browser settings.
Additionally, Google Analytics (find terms of use here and here) is employed for user behavior analysis and content optimization, collecting data on device types and interactions on the Great Minds website. This information is stored in the USA, with IP addresses truncated in the EU/EEA. Recipients of Great Minds emails can adjust email program settings to manage data transmission preferences. A browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics data collection can be installed here.
Great Minds occasionally sends emails containing event invitations or special information. The opening rates and timing of these mailings are monitored by Great Minds to tailor them more precisely to recipients’ needs. Recipients can prevent this data transmission through their email program settings if desired.
Individuals have rights to access, correct, transfer, and delete their personal data (Art. 25, 32, 28 revDSG). They may also object to data processing or withdraw consent, bearing in mind that they will no longer be able to benefit from Great Minds’ services. Revoking previously granted consent does not affect the lawfulness of data processing conducted prior to the revocation. In specific instances, Great Minds reserves the right to decline or delay the disclosure of information (Art. 26 revDSG). Upon a request for data erasure, Great Minds will adhere to such a request unless legally obligated or authorized to retain the data (Art. 32 para. revDSG). Nonetheless, the data subject acknowledges that there may be circumstances where retention of the data is mandatory. Data subjects can enforce their rights through legal action or by lodging a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland (http://www.edoeb.admin.ch).
To exercise these rights, it is imperative that the identity of the data subject is readily ascertainable. This may necessitate providing a copy of an identity document, particularly if the identity cannot be confirmed without one.
